Sant'Agata Bolognese

Il primo insediamento dell’attuale centro di Sant’Agata risale al 1189, quando, sotto l’imperatore Federico Barbarossa, venne costruita una fortificazione con mura, porte e fossato. Oggi, oltre ad essere una perfetta realizzazione di un insediamento tipico della Bassa emiliana, la cittadina è nota per essere la sede di una delle Case Automobilistiche più famose del mondo: Automobili Lamborghini. A Sant’Agata potrete ammirare anche il teatro storico intitolato a Ferdinando Bibiena. L’edificio è stato restaurato e riaperto alla fine degli anni ‘90, ma la sua prima inaugurazione risale al 1888 e il primo atto della sua storia inizia più di un secolo prima, nel 1781.

The first settlement of the current town of Sant’Agata dates back to 1189, when, under Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, a fortification with walls, gates and a moat was built. Today, in addition to being a perfect realization of a typical settlement of the Bassa Emiliana, the town is known for being the headquarters of one of the most famous car manufacturers in the world: Automobili Lamborghini. In Sant’Agata you can also admire the historic theatre named after Ferdinando Bibiena. The building was restored and reopened at the end of the 90s, but its first inauguration dates back to 1888 and the first act of its history began more than a century earlier, in 1781.
