A precious natural area recognized at European level as a Special Conservation Area (IT4050018) of the Natura 2000 network. The floodplain forest of over 30 hectares offers a view of the river Reno as a wild river: in the riverbed, the hygrophilous forest formed of willows of various species overlooks both banks of the riverbed, so much so that the foliage touches, forming the rare gallery forest. This is the kingdom of the kingfisher and herons, especially the night heron and the little egret. The temporary pools are a refuge for amphibians such as the common toad, the crested newt and the agile frog.
